1-History of a cat Maine Coon
Contrary to popular folklore, the Maine Coon cat was not the result of raising cats with a raccoon.
And because they resemble the Norwegian Forest Cats, it is not difficult to imagine some of them being transported by the Vikings.
It is likely that the story of the crossing was between a domestic American cat and a long-haired cat (possibly Angora), brought by ship from Europe with settlers or merchants.
With lynx-like ear tufts and foot tufts, these beautiful and stunning cats are well-suited to the harsh climate conditions of the cooler temperatures of Maine. Maine Coons served as barn and pants cats throughout New Britain.
The first show featuring Maine Coon cats was held in the late 1860s. The brown-striped cat named Cozy was owned by Mrs. Fred Brown. Despite the disappearance of this strain, like other long-haired breeds, such as the Persian cat.
